RateMyPosture.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a free posture self-check tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use the service and the choices you have. By using RateMyPosture.com, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Your photos stay in your browser

The photos you take or upload for a posture scan are processed entirely on your device, inside your browser. Body-landmark detection runs locally using on-device machine learning. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, and they are discarded when you close or reload the page. If you use the Share feature, the score card image is generated on your device and saved directly to your device.

2. Information we collect

• Email address. If you choose to start a free trial, we collect the email address you enter. We use it to set up your trial, send you your results and routine, and contact you about your account.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and reliability purposes.

We do not collect your photos, your posture scores, or any health data on our servers. We do not show ads and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Camera access

The camera is used only while you are on the scan screen, only with your permission, and only to show a live preview and capture the photo you approve. You can deny camera access and upload a photo instead. We never record video or access your camera in the background.

5. Data retention

Photos and scan results are never stored by us, so there is nothing to retain. If you provide your email address, we keep it until you delete your account or ask us to remove it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within 30 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

7. Children

RateMyPosture.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Posture scores are informational estimates generated for general wellness purposes. They are not a medical assessment, diagnosis, or treatment. See our Terms of Service for details.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
